Hajipur (Vaishali): Taking inspiration from the Anna Hazare’s crusade that virtually compelled the Congress-led UPA government to kneel down, the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) has announced to launch a mammoth movement against corruption.

Inaugurating a three-day State Working Committee cum Training Camp of the BJP at Vaishali in Bihar, all-India General Secretary and the state in-charge Ananth Kumar declared the 90-day nationwide movement against corruption from panchayat to district level.

“The public will be made aware of the discriminatory policies of the Centre,” he said, while cautioning that whenever the Congress party comes into power, it begins to attack the Republic system of the nation.

Holding the Centre responsible for the poor condition of Bihar, he said, “The countdown has begun for Congress”.

He emphasised that by becoming a vigilant guard only, the corruption can be eliminated.Expressing support for the Jan Lokpal, he said it must be based on the format given by Anna Hazare so that the nation can have a transparent, independent, honest and effective Lokpal.

Putting that the Lokpal must cover all from Gram Sevak to Prime Minister, he said, “The Team Anna is facing a big question over the intentions of the Congress because it has always made attempts to mislead the people.”

Citing the example of Bihar, he said, “The way people in Bihar overthrew the Lalu Prasad government, the people must resolve to make the country corruption free.”

Present on the occasion, Deputy Chief Minister of Bihar, Sushil Kumar Modi, said that Anna's movement was reminiscent of the JP movement and appealed to the party workers to extend cooperation in eradication of corruption.

Earlier, the leaders offered flowers on portraits of Shyama Prasad Mukherjee and Pandit Deendayal Upadhyaya.
