Lucknow: The 'Save Ganga Campaign' launched by Uttar Pradesh BJP in-charge Uma Bharti will be joined by the party stalwarts.

Eyeing this as an opportunity for the upcoming Assembly polls in the state, the BJP has prepared a roadmap and shown solidarity towards the campaign.

A series of meetings will begin from Farrukhabad from July 4. BJP national vice-president Vinay Katiyar and secretary Santosh Gangwar will participate in the rally.

Former BJP national president Rajnath Singh will address a gathering in Bithur on the same day. Apart from this, BJP national vice-president Kalraj Mishra along with other party leaders will be present at Allahabad on July 5.

A function organised in Kashi will be attended by former national president Murli Manohar Joshi on July 6 and the campaign will conclude in UP on July 7 with last meeting to be held in Ballia.

The farewell address will be delivered by BJP UP unit president Surya Pratap Shahi, which is likely to be attended by the party’s central leadership.

State vice-president Swatantradev Singh will be present during the entire rally.

According to BJP state unit spokesman Rajendra Tiwary, a string of programmes for ‘Save Ganga Campaign’ will be organised and various other religious programmes will take place in other areas of the state as well.
