Bhojpuri movie star Manoj Tiwari will contest against JP Agarwal from North East Delhi, while Mahesh Giri will fight against Sandeep Dikshit from East Delhi.

With the new development taking place, Chandni Chowk will see a triangular contest between Harsh Vardhan, Kapil Sibal and Aam Aadmi Party candidate Ashutosh.

From New Delhi seat, party spokesperson Meenakshi Lekhi will take on Ajay Maken while the North West Delhi (reserved) seat has been given to Dalit leader Udit Raj. In 2009, Krishna Tirath won the North West Delhi seat.  

Former Delhi chief minister Sahib Singh Verma's son and Mehrauli MLA Parvesh Verma will contest against Mahabal Mishra from West Delhi, while Ramesh Bidhuri will once again slugfest with Ramesh Kumar in South Delhi. More than 20 names were discussed for the seven constituencies in Delhi.

The BJP had put up an impressive show during the last year’s Assembly elections in the national capital and it bagged 31 seats.

The Lok Sabha polls in Delhi, much like the Assembly elections are set to witness a triangular contest as Arvind Kejriwal-led Aam Aadmi Party is also in the fray.
