“The way Kunjwal is openly campaigning for Congress nominees do not behove of his post. He should not forget that he is the Speaker of Uttarakhand Assembly, a Constitutional post of dignity where he is supposed to be objective towards all political parties," State BJP chief Tirath Singh Rawat said in a statement.

Asking Kunjwal to resign from the Uttarakhand Assembly if he wanted to drum up support for Congress candidates like an ordinary party worker, he said the party will lodge a complaint with the Election Commission against the Assembly Speaker.

"After all how can Kunjwal forget the dignity of his Constitutional post and behave like an ordinary Congress worker?" he asked.
