Indore: With an aim to end the fiefdom of Union Minister of Tribal Affairs Kantilal Bhuria in the tribal dominated Jhabua district, the Bharatiya Janata Party’s Madhya Pradesh unit has planned a string of measures on the birth anniversary of freedom fighter Chandra Shekhar Azad on July 23.

On this day, BJP plans to induct more than one lakh youths in the party from Jhabua and adjoining area. To draw the attention of local youths towards the party, Bharatiya Janata Yuva Morcha (BJYM) will start a 14 day Azad Sandesh Yatra from July 8.

The BJP is going to organize the function on the occasion of anniversary of Chandra Shekhar Azad to induct 1 lakh tribals into the party. Party leader Jeetu Jerati has been entrusted with the task.

MP BJP president Prabhat Jha and party general secretary Arvind Menon have taken the responsibility of organising the function in their hands. In an effort to meet the target of one lakh, party members have already started contacting the tribal youths.

The BJP leaders are excited over the success of party’s rally attended by national leaders at Indore.

In 2003 assembly polls, BJP won five out of the eight assembly seats in Jhabua district. But in the 2008 assembly elections, the saffron party managed to win only one seat.
