Jalandhar: Union Minister Ashwani Kumar on Sunday accused the BJP of indulging in "low-level" politics on the CAG report on allocation of coal blocks.

"BJP is playing low-level politics on the CAG report... The intention of the party is wrong and it does not want the Parliament to continue with its routine work," the Minister of State for Planning, Science and Technology told reporters.

BJP has demanded resignation of Prime Minister Manmohan Singh taking "moral, political and personal" responsibility for the wrongful loss due to coal block allocations.

The CAG report has estimated Rs 1.86 lakh crores gain to private firms in allocation of 57 coal blocks without competitive bidding.
