Lucknow: Attacking the Mayawati government as a part of its election campaign for the upcoming 2012 Assembly elections, the Bharatiya Janata Party on said if it voted to power, it would form a committee to probe allegations of corruption against the BSP ministers.

Overwhelmed by the crowd turnout at the BJP Dalit Rights Conference organized here on Friday, Chief Guest and former national president of the party, Rajnath Singh challenged the BSP leaders to come and see the support his party was getting from the marginalised sections of society.

Rajnath Singh said, “Chief Minister not sharing space on the stage with anybody else is like discriminating against dalits. What kind of social harmony is this?”

Accusing the BSP of cheating the BJP, Rajnath said, “BSP will not get support under any circumstances.”
Setting their caste equation right for the Assembly polls, the party announced that if they come into power they will include the stories of extraordinary people from dalit community and other backward classes into the school syllabus.

On the issue of reservation, Rajnath reminded that former Prime Minister Atal Bihari Vajpayee had gone one step ahead of Baba Saheb Ambedkar and had applied reservation system in promotion.

Proposal for declaring Valmiki Jayanti as holiday, to clear backlog in recruitment and to seize the properties of the corrupt were also passed in the meeting.
