Lucknow: In order to return to power in the politically important state, the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) on Friday released its election manifesto for Uttar Pradesh, focussing on education, health, employment and law and order.

Key party leaders, including national vice presidents Mukhtar Abbas Naqvi, Kalraj Mishra, Uma Bharati, and Sudheedra Kulkarni were present at the release.

A vision-document for the state was released by the party last week, promising 1.5 crore jobs in the state in the next five years.

The saffron party’s stake is on prestige in the UP Assembly polls. The better performance here will brighten its chance in 2014 General Election.

Seven-phased elections will be held in Uttar Pradesh Feb 8-March 3.
