Jaipur: After taking potshots at Congress led Rajasthan government over Nation Rural Health Mission (NRHM) scam during the assembly session, the Opposition BJP have now knocked the doors of the Comptroller and Auditor General (CAG) for a probe into the alleged swindling of funds.

Claiming it as the second largest scam after UP’s NRHM, the BJP state unit secretary Kirit Somaiya on Friday submitted the reports related  to the embezzlement of funds issued for the implementation of NRHM scheme in Rajasthan.

Mounting pressure on the government, the BJP has demanded to blacklist the ‘Chikitsa Health Care Limited Company’, owned by Union Home Minister P Chidambaram and Vayalar Ravi’s son. The BJP has recommended CAG audit of the company

The opposition has been constantly protesting against the state government to make the documents related to the health scheme public.

The state unit president of BJP Arun Chaturvedi informed that the state government illegally stopped the services of 108 ambulances in order to give contract to Chidambaram and Ravi’s son. Citing disbursement through bogus bills, the BJP has sought CAG probe into the matter.
