Mumbai:  BJP on Saturday said that all its leaders would attend the 2-day national executive meeting of the party to be held on May 24 and 25 here.

"340 leaders from the party have been sent invitation. However, we will come to know about who is attending and who is not when the meeting starts. All the leaders from BJP will be present at the meeting. We will not give any opportunity to our opponents to speak on it," BJP's national spokesperson Shahnawaz Hussain said at a press conference here on Saturday.

Meanwhile, former Karnataka Chief Minister BS Yeddyurappa has said that he would not participate in the national executive meet.

There are also doubts whether Gujarat Chief Minister Narendra Modi would attend or not. When asked about it, Shahnawaz Hussain maintained that all leaders would attend the meet.

Downplaying the political crisis in Karnataka, he said "Our government is functioning in Karnataka. It will keep functioning there.”

Asked whether BJP will support P A Sangma as the presidential candidate, he clarified that after the national executive meeting ends, the NDA leaders would meet and discuss about the presidential candidate.
