New Delhi: Terming the Centre’s move to approach the Apex Court over minorities sub-quota row as unfortunate, senior BJP leader L K Advani said that the matter which should be solved by the executive is now being taken by the judiciary. It is a matter of great regret that the serious issue of reservation is being wrongfully used by the government for vested interest.

“The government is adamant on the quota row. But we have complete faith in the judiciary. It will impart justice to the serious issue,” said Advani.

Nitish slams Centre

Echoing similar views over the adamant approach of the government towards reservation, Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar said that the serious issue of minority sub-quota is being racked up for political gains by the Congress.

“The government is non-serious in providing sub-quota for Muslims. The quota row is being politically motivated by the Congress just to woo the community for electoral gains, said the Chief Minister.
