New Delhi: Taking a potshot at the Manmohan Singh-led government for appointment at plum post, which is already in the line of fire of the Opposition for placing Kalmadi and P J Thomas at the helm of affairs, the Bharatiya Janata Party has registered its reservation against the Centre’s decision to appoint Arvind Jadhav as the Chairman and Managing Director (CMD) of Air India.

Raising finger at the Prime Minister-appointed committee made for the selection of CMD of Air India, BJP spokesman Rajiv Pratap Rudy demanded immediate dismissal of Arvind Jadhav and asked, “How is it possible that a man declared unfit for a post by a committee has been given thumbs up for joining the same post?”

Giving raps on the knuckles of the Prime Minister for Jhadav’s appointment, Rudy said, “PM’s credibility, who is known for his clean image, has been dented and the government’s hush-hush way of functioning has been exposed by appointing Jadhav as an Air India Chief.”

“In the wake of malpractices, Air India is stuck in financial quagmire and the PM is equally responsible for it,” he added.
