"None of the JD-U ministers had turned up at the Jai Prakash Narayan International Airport to receive the bodies of the slain jawans even as many of the ministers were present in the state capital as per information available to me," BJP vice president CP Thakur said.

"The grim occasion warranted display of sensitivity and solidarity with grieving families of the slain jawans, but the ruling JD-U ministers were conspicuous by their absence at the airport that explains their insensitive attitude and lack of concern towards the aggrieved families," he said.

Thakur also demanded an explanation from Chief Minister Nitish Kumar over the issue.

Bodies of the slain jawans Vijay Rai (Patna district), Shambhu Saran Singh (Bhojpur), Premnath Singh and Raghunandan (Saran) were brought here by an Air Force special plane on Wednesday.
