New Delhi: Taking a sarcastic dig at Prime Minister Manmohan Singh over the Time Magazine report dubbing him an ‘underachiever’, the BJP on Monday said that the reputed magazine has reflected the voice of people of India.

“It’s unfortunate for the country that its economist Prime Minister has been dubbed as an underachiever by the same magazine which had earlier given him 19th position in the annual list of 100 most influential people,” said BJP spokesperson Ravi Shankar Prasad in a press conference here on Monday.

Demanding immediate resignation of the Prime Minister, he said, “With the nine years of misgovernanace, Singh must step down.”

The BJP leader making special mention of Bihar, also accused the UPA government of being discriminative with the state government of the opposition parties.

“The UPA led Central government has always been discriminative with the states and contributed in disturbing the federal structure of the country. Bihar has not been allotted required coal links even if the state was in urgent need of them for power generation,” said Prasad.
