New Delhi: Under attacks over multi-crore land mining scam, defiant Chief Minister of Karnataka BS Yeddyurappa will have to resign if BJP wants to build pressure on Prime Minister and Home Minister over 2G scam in the upcoming monsoon session of the Parliament, which is scheduled to begin next week.

The BJP which was constantly attacking Congress over corruption will now have to remove their senior and Lingayat leader BS Yedyurappa, if Karnataka Lokayukta Justice N Santosh Hegde report confirms his involvement in nepotism and corruption.

Party President, Nitin Gadkari has said Yedyurappa’s future depend on Lokayukta report which will be presented to the government on Wednesday. Moreover, Gadkari has asserted that Yeddyurappa has promised to accept the party decision.

The embattled CM is the strongest BJP leader down south and the party has decided to take action against him only after reading complete report.

According to the sources, JD (U) president and convenor of NDA Sharad Yadav has said that immediate action would be taken after Lokayukta report.

At a time when the BJP is facing crisis, search for Yedyurappa’s replacement in the party has also begun. Jagadish Shettar, BS Achraya and Suresh Kumar are the top contenders to the top post.
However, the Yeddyurappa has being defiant and has instead advised to the party to go polls if it decides to ask him to step down.
