New Delhi: All eyes are set on the Uttar Pradesh Assembly elections 2012 and the Bharatiya Janata Party is leaving no stone unturned in its preparations.

Giving their strategies a final look, the BJP has invited senior members of the party from outside the state to look into the final preparations.

A two-day marathon meeting was held. BJP stalwarts met at former national party president Rajnath Singh’s residence in the national capital on Friday to mull the political agenda of the party. The BJP has decided to fight the election on the issues of corruption, crime and lawlessness.

Observing the string of festivals, the party has also made changes in its programme and has kept its yatras lined up after Dusshera.

Discussions on party candidates, election campaign and management were also held at length.

In order to deal with political pressures, the party leadership decided to hand over the reins of the UP polls to senior members outside the state. The list of such members will be out soon.

At the district level, an 11-member team will look into the preparations. It was also decided to equip district offices with modern technology.
