Bharatiya Janata Party (JP) president Rajnath Singh, and Delhi election in-charge Nitin Gadkari will kick start the campaign with a rally at Talkatora Stadium that will be attended by party workers from all over the city. "A massive rally will be held at Talkatora Stadium on Sep 17. We will focus on issues like inflation, power, water, corruption, unauthorized colonies etc," said Delhi BJP president Vijay Goel.

"The party cadres will go to every household under the slogan 'Ghar, Ghar BhaJaPa' and highlight the failures of the Congress government in Delhi during the last 15 years," he added. Goel further said that the announcement of Gujarat Chief Minister Narendra Modi as the BJP's prime ministerial candidate on Friday would boost the party's chances of winning in Delhi.

"He (Modi) has a huge following among youth and BJP will enjoy a huge advantage in Delhi over the Congress," he said. Elections to the Delhi assembly are scheduled in November. According to a news channel-Nielsen Mood of the Nation survey on Thursday, the BJP is likely to get 32 of the 70 assembly seats while the ruling Congress will win 27 seats.
