New Delhi: The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP), in response to the Congress’s maha rally, has announced that it would observe Sunday as a ‘Black Day’. The BJP has released a list of 14 spots (Kingsway Camp, Madhuban Chowk, Vikas Marg, Tilak Nagar Market, Kamla Nagar Main Market and New Ashok Nagar) where demonstrations will be held on Sunday.

BJP Delhi unit president Vijender Gupta said senior leaders, including Vijay Kumar Malhotra, Mukhtar Abbas Naqvi, Vani Tripathi and Aarti Mehra, would lead protests.

The Akhil Bharatiya Udhyog Vyapar Mandal and other trade organisations have also agreed to support the BJP’s protests against FDI.

In a separate move, the Confederation of All India Traders (CAIT), in association with several organisations of retail stakeholders, will be holding a protest by putting to practice the Hindi adage “Bhains ke aagey been bajana (Singing a hymn to a buffalo is a waste)”  at Jantar Mantar at 10.30am on Sunday.
