As a part of the stipulated plan, BJP national president Nitin Gadkari will head the first rally at Rudrapur on June 28. The string of protests will end in a rally cum party convention at Dehradun in September. Several party stalwarts including LK Advani are expected to attend the convention.

While talking to mediapersons in the party headquarters in Haridwar, State BJP president Bishan Singh Chufal said, “The Central government is surrounded by the issues like corruption, inflation and black money.” In Uttarakhand, the BJP is going to hold protests in all the five parliamentary constituencies, he informed.

Providing the details of the rallies, Chufal said, “The rally would start on June 28 from Rudrapur in the presence of BJP president. On July 2 or 3, Kisan Morcha national executive meeting will be held in Haridwar which would be presided over by Leader of Opposition in the Lok Sabha, Sushma Swaraj.” The party would hold a rally in Almora district in the first week of September.
