Aurangabad (Agencies): Bharatiya Janata Party’s Maharashtra unit president Sudhir Mungantiwar on Sunday said that the party will organize a ‘massive rally’ against the corrupt and inefficient state government on March 14 in Mumbai.

"With slogans like 'Mafiaraj hatao Maharashtra bachao' and 'Mafia ko hatane, BJP maidan mein', the party would campaign from the tehsil to state level and create awareness among the common people regarding the misdeeds of the state government," Mungantiwar said at a press conference after the conclusion of the two-day state BJP meet here.

"Without political patronage, mafia cannot operate in the state. The ministers in the present government are shielding them," he alleged.

Mungantiwar also said that despite the Centre's assurance, farmers in the state had not been provided any financial assistance.

Mungantiwar said over 5,000 rallies would be held across the state before the protest at Mantralaya.
