New Delhi: Opposition BJP on Friday asked for an immediate tabling of the report of Shunglu Committee probing alleged irregularities in Commonwealth Games and walked out from the Lok Sabha protesting the government's response.
Senior BJP leader L K Advani said the Shunglu Committee had submitted its report to the government, which is required to be tabled on Friday itself in the House.
Advani said at the beginning of the session three issues related to corruption were raised - 2G spectrum allocation, conduct of Commonwealth Games and the Adarsh Housing scam.
Parliamentary Affairs Minister Pawan Kumar Bansal said the Shunglu Committee was set up by the government through an Executive Order and its report was yet to be looked into by the government.
"I will convey to the government through the minister concerned and convey the feelings of the House. If any action has to be taken in the matter it would be taken," Bansal said.
Leader of the Opposition Sushma Swaraj expressed her displeasure over Bansal's response, saying it was the government's stock reply to the opposition on every matter.
