"The state BJP Legislature Party which met here tonight on the eve of winter session of Vidhan Sabha has decided to adopt tough posture against the Congress-led government on all such issues that were agitating  the minds of the people," said legislative party secretary Randhir Sharma.

The meeting, which was held for the first time outside Shimla or Dharamsala, was presided over by the Leader of BJP legislative party Prem Kumar Dhumal.

"It was decided to take up issues like shortage of essential commodities in the fair price shops, increase in the prices of petrol and diesel by the state government; increase in the bus fares, deteriorating law and order situation and not granting additional dearness allowance to the state government employees which had been due since long," he said.

Sharma said the meeting took notice of anti-people posture of Congress and resolved that the BJP would not allow the government to go scot-free on all such issues which needed its immediate attention.

The BJP leader alleged that it was felt that the Congress leaders were misusing their power and position and this issue would also be discussed in the Vidhan Sabha.
