Addressing a public rally in Krishna Nagar constituency, where the BJP has fielded Bedi, the former chief minister said: "When they will lose in the polls, they will say that it was because of Kiran Bedi."

The Aam Aadmi Party chief said Bedi, who joined the BJP last week and has been declared its Chief Ministerial candidate for Delhi, has joined the party to be "trapped".

Bedi to file nomination tomorrow

Meanwhile, Kiran Bedi will file her nomination on Wednesday for the February 7 Delhi Assembly elections. Bedi will also take out a roadshow before filing her nomination papers from Krishna Nagar constituency of East Delhi, which is BJP's stronghold.

65-year-old Bedi, the country's first woman IPS officer, was named the BJP's chief ministerial by party president Amit Shah after a meeting of BJP Parliamentary Board.
Wednesday will be a hectic day for electoral officials with several senior leaders including Congress' Ajay Maken, filing their nomination papers. Scrutiny of nominations papers would be done on January 22 while the last date for withdrawal of candidatures is January 24.
