Senior BJP leaders including former chief minister DV Sadananda Gowda, party state president Prahlad Joshi and former deputy chief ministers R Ashoka and K S Eshwarappa met the Governor on Wednesday and called for the Congress government to be galvanized into action in the light of alleged “gross negligence of governance and failures on all fronts”.

According to sources, the memorandum accused the state government of poor handling of drinking water supply, power supply and the drought situation. It also highlighted the strained relations between the government and the state bureaucracy and alleged high handedness of some ministers.

The BJP leaders also blamed Home Minister KJ George for deteriorating law and order situation in the state.

The BJP also asked the Governor to advise the state government to roll back the recent hike in toll on Bangalore International Airport road and BMTC and KSRTC fares.
