Patna: The statements made by certain Janata Dal (U) leaders about eminent BJP leaders amidst the UP elections have left BJP seething with anger. Stating the comments made on leader LK Advani and Shahnawaz Hussain as objectionable and preposterous, the BJP has warned the JD-U leaders from making such comments.

Launching an attack on the JD-U, the BJP said, “The improvement in Bihar is a result of combined efforts of their alliance and the contribution of Deputy Chief Minister Sushil Kumar Modi of BJP cannot be undermined.”
However, Deputy Chief Minister Sushil modi said, “There might have been some miscommunication. I will talk to senior JD-U leaders in this regard.”

Meanwhile, BJP state president Dr CP Thakur has advised the JD-U leaders to keep their language sane and honourable while commenting on any leader.

BJP state General Secretary Dr Rajendra Prasad Gupta said. “Several JD-U leaders are making inappropriate comments against the BJP as if they are fighting against us in Uttar Pradesh elections.”

Gupta came down heavily on JD-U spokesman Shivanand Tiwari for his statement that the BJP was non-existent in UP and said, “The reality is that BJP is opposing Mulayam’s anarchy and Mayawati’s corrupt regime in Uttar Pradesh.”

The BJP leaders said, “The party has played a prominent role in creating Gujarat, Madhya Pradesh and Chhattisgarh as model states along with contributing to Bihar’s development.”
