The delegation of leaders that included Union Ministers Birender Singh and Sanjeev Kumar Balyan and Haryana Ministers O P Dhankar and Capt Abhimanyu told Shah that leaders of various Jat organisations would be meeting him for evolving ways to help the community, which will be deprived of the benefits.

Abhimanyu said the Jat leaders, who included a number of MPs from Haryana, Uttar Pradesh, Rajasthan and Delhi, apprised Shah of the aftermath of the Supreme Court judgement and sought help in finding a new way so that the Jat community did not feel left out.

Shah, party sources said, assured the leaders of finding some ways within the law to help the Jat community.
