New Delhi: Stepping up its tirade against the UPA government, BJP has decided to trigger a national campaign in public interest ahead of the delayed monsoon session. The first phase will be carried from June 23-26 while the second phase will be witnessed in July-August.

Marking the anniversary of 1975 Emergency on June 25, BJP will raise the rhetoric of black money, corruption and dictatorship against the Union government.

While informing about the campaign, coordinator and party spokesman Mukhtar Abbas Naqvi said, “Senior leaders from all over the country will participate in the national campaign which will take place in all prominent cities and capitals.”

He also told that BJP chief Nitin Gadkari and senior leader Lal Krishna Advani will participate in the campaign at Ahmedabad while Sushma Swaraj will attend the campaign in Jaipur and Chennai.

Divulging the details, he said Dr Murli Manohar Joshi will be present at Udaipur and Bangalore, Rajnath Singh will participate at Lucknow and Indore while Anant Kumar will attend the campaign in Bangalore, Delhi and Patna.

Besides them, other party leaders like Shanta Kumar, Vinay Katiyar, Uma Bharti and many others will also give boost to the national campaign at several other places, Naqvi notified.
BJP criticises Mayawati

Meanwhile, launching a scathing attack on Mayawati and the dismal law and order situation in Uttar Pradesh, Naqvi flayed the Chief Minister for not being able to bring down the level of crime in the state.

“Contrary to claims and counter claims, the BSP government has failed to provide security to women and girls in Uttar Pradesh. There is an environment of fear and terror among the people in UP,” he said.

Naqvi declared that the BJP is soon going to launch a campaign against Mayawati for not paying heed to the rampant corruption, poor law-order situation and plight of the people in Uttar Pradesh.
