“I pray for the speedy recovery & good health of Union Minister Shri Manish Tewari,” Modi said on microblogging site twitter.

According to reports, Tewari, who has been keeping unwell for the past few days, was admitted in AIIMS on Friday.

48-year-old Tewari had earlier this month undergone hospitalisation at Max Hospital in South Delhi. Tewari, who is the sitting MP from Ludhiana, had earlier trashed reports that he was keen on changing his constituency.

Tewari, who is a good orator, was expected to be Congress' candidate from Ludhiana Lok Sabha constituency from where he had won the election in 2009.

Ending suspense over Ludhiana seat, the Congress has fielded sitting Anandpur Sahib MP, Ravneet Singh Bittu, from Ludhiana Parliamentary constituency.
