ED sources revealed that Lodhiya reached the ED office and gave the documents to the officials.

Two week ago, ED officials had questioned Lodhiya in connection with two of his overseas bank accounts as well as the possibility of black money being transferred into those accounts by him.

However, Lodhiya has refuted all allegations against him about black money transfers using his overseas accounts – one in Singapore and the another in Dubai.

Lodhiya claimed that all his transactions were legal and both his overseas bank accounts were officially declared by him earlier.

Since nothing substantial was found during questioning, the ED asked Lodhiya to validate his claims by providing documents, including bank statements related to his transactions, which he submitted to the ED today for a further probe.

Lodhiya is the owner of Shreeji Trading Company based in Rajkot, which is involved in trading of bullion across the country. It has two subsidiaries, namely Shreeji Ornaments Pvt Ltd and Shreeji Realty.

The group which was established 15 years ago has branches in Ahmedabad, New Delhi, Jaipur, Raipur, Indore, Bangalore, its website said.
