New Delhi: In the wake of filing petition in Supreme Court against the Central government regarding black money case, Uttar Pradesh IPS officer Jasveer Singh has landed in trouble.

Departmental proceedings have been initiated against Singh for filing petition in the Apex court against Enforcement Directorate (ED) officials and the Centre. He has been charged for dereliction of duty and indiscipline. The Uttar Pradesh government has informed the Union Home Ministry regarding the action being taken against him.

According to sources in the Ministry, six charges of violation of service rules have been proved against Singh. This includes hiding identity, lebelling false charges against ED officials, becoming member of India Rejuvenation Initiative institution without informing the government and insulting the state government for filing petition in SC without prior information.

“Jasveer Singh should reply within 15 days and in case of unsatisfactory answers, departmental proceedings will be initiated against him,” said sources in the Ministry.

It should be learnt that Singh was transferred after he exposed tax evader Hasan Ali’s involvement with a senior IPS officer. At the same time, charges against ED officials made by Singh were also dismissed by the Supreme Court.
