The long-rumored Z30 device was unveiled at an event in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. The new touchscreen device, which boasts a five-inch display and a 1.7 gigahertz processor, will compete against the likes of Apple Inc's new iPhone 5S and Samsung Electronics Co's Galaxy S4, along with a slew of other devices that are powered by Google Inc's Android platform.

Z30 comes with a 5-inch Super AMOLED display and features a 2880 mAh battery which is the largest battery built into a BlackBerry smartphone. The device also packs in an 8MP rear camera and a 2MP front camera.

The Z30 features 2GB of RAM and 16 GB internal memory expandable through a micro SD memory card slot.
