The company also confirmed that it will officially unveil the new handset on May 13. The new handset is available for pre-order at IDR 2,199,000 (Rs 11,500 approx).
According to BlackBerry, the touchscreen smartphone, Z3, is a limited edition model and will be made available to Indosat and XL customers for a limited period.
It features the 'Jakarta' inscription at the back, which commemorates the launch of the first BlackBerry smartphone manufactured exclusively for the Indonesia market.
The Z3 runs BlackBerry 10 OS (version 10.2.1). It features a 5-inch qHD (540x960 pixels) display offering an aspect ratio of 16:9. It is powered by a dual-core 1.2GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon 400 (MSM8230) processor and 1.5GB RAM.
The Z3 sports a 5-megapixel autofocus rear camera and houses a 1.1-megapixel fixed-focus front-facing camera. It has 8GB of inbuilt storage, which can be expanded up to 32GB via microSD card.
The handset has 2500mAh battery which delivers up to 15.5 hours talk time and up to 384 hours of standby time.
The smartphone also comes preloaded with BlackBerry Hub, BBM, Time Shift, Story Maker camera features and BB10 browser.
There is no word on the global rollout of the BlackBerry Z3.
