New Delhi: Indian tennis ace and Olympic medal hopeful Saina Nehwal won her third Indonesian Open women singles title beating world number three Xuerui Li in the summit clash in Jakarta.

The fifth-seeded Indian, who had won the Thailand Open last week, defeated China's Li 13-21, 22-20, 21-19 in an hour and four minutes to lift her third title of the year – the first being the Swiss Open.

"It was a really, really tough and I love the crowd here. It's really nice here. Whenever I enter the court, I feel like a champion here," said the 22-year-old, who had earlier clinched this title in 2009 and 2010 and was a runner-up last year.

After her triumph in Jakarta, blessings and good wishes pour in from all corners of the country.

BAI congratulates Saina

Badminton Association of India President Akhilesh Das Gupta congratulated Saina Nehwal for winning the Indonesian Open women singles title.

Gupta also congratulated Saina’s coach Pullela Gopichand for "bringing laurels to the country."

Vijai Sinha, General Secretary, BAI also congratulated Saina for the achievement.

Andhra Pradesh CM congratulates Saina

Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N Kiran Kumar Reddy congratulated Indian shuttler Saina Nehwal for her triumph in Jakarta.

Saina made the country and particularly Andhra Pradesh proud by her achievement, he said in a message.

Bhupinder Hooda congratulates Saina

Haryana Chief Minister Bhupinder Singh Hooda congratulated Hisar-born ace Indian shuttler Saina Nehwal on her win.

Hooda said Saina has brought laurels to the state and the country by winning number of prestigious international level tournaments and championships.

"The people of Haryana are proud of her. It is her third title of the year. I hope she will continue to achieve greater success and win gold medal for the country in London Olympics also," Hooda said in a statement here.

Saina was born in Hisar district of the state.

Her father is a scientist and both her parents were former state badminton champions.

LS Speaker congratulates Saina

Lok Sabha Speaker Meira Kumar congratulated India's ace badminton player Saina Nehwal for her victory in Jakarta.

"Lok Sabha Speaker Meira Kumar has congratulated Saina Nehwal fir her victory in the final of Indonesian Open," a release from Kumar's office said.

The 22-year-old shuttler will lead the Indian badminton team during the London Olympic Games next month.
