Both these BMW models are the first high performance BMW M division series that has made it to the Indian markets. The cars will be sold as completely build units (CBU). First time in Indian markets, the cars will be retailed through  BMW's M studio.

While the X5M model has been classified as the Sports Activity Vehicle, X6M is termed as a Sports Activity Coupe. The cars are sufficed with 4.4 litre twin turbo V8 petrol engine that powers the M5 sedan and M6 Gran Coupe, which is capable of producing 575 PS of max power along with 750 Nm of peak torque.

In the X5M and X6M, they develop 575PS of power at 6000rpm and a colossal 750Nm of torque from 2200rpm to 5000rpm. Thanks to power sent to all four wheels, both cars gallop at a blisteringly quick pace. 0-100kmph comes in a scant 4.2 seconds and top speed is limited to 250kmph.

The cars come with a sporty look and aggressive body kit. The front fascia comes with a signature kidney grille along with sharp projector headlamps and a muscular bumper along with a beefy bonnet. The BMW X5M and X6M also come with dynamic electronically adjustable dampers and self-leveling air suspension in the rear.

The car comes with a race track developed oil and cooling systems along with the powerful muscular design and squat stance, to provide high levels of performance under extreme loads. Even though both the cars are mechanically equal, the lower center of gravity of the X6M along with the  slightly better aerodynamic profile gives it an edge over the X5M.
