Vadodra:The plight finally coming to an end as the body of the dead fisherman, who was imprisoned in Pakistan, will be handed over to his family in India on Monday .

Although they lost their sole breadwinner more than month ago but for the past 45 days the bereaved family of Rambhai was anxiously waiting to get his body back home.

Rambhai Kanabhai Vala, a poor fisherman from tad village of Gujarat’s Junagadh District had been arrested by Pakistan marine authorities on November 18 last year along with seven other fellow fishermen where he fell ill and died in a Karachi hospital on May 28 this year.

But even when after his death his ordeal troubles did not end. Due to dilly-dallying tactics adopted by Pak authorities Rambhai’s family ran from pillar to post to get his body back to India.

Shocked fisherman’s wife Jahi Behn Vala, said, “We need to know something about him. Even if I get his dead body, I will feel satisfied that my husband returned home.”

Despite Pakistan authorities all attempt to take the body as hostage eventually the intervention of the Ministry of External Affairs that finally brought an end to the 45 day long ordeal for Rambhai Vala’s family.
