Ghaziabad: In a major case of forgery, few miscreants created a fake website to dupe people. Under the guise of conducting a survey, the miscreants duped people of several crores.

In a complaint lodged by Chennai resident, Babu Christopher, it came into light that a company named as Sapphire Group launched a bogus survey website on internet as ‘Software Dot In’ where people had to submit Rs 11,000 as registration fee. To lure the people the website promised a payment of Rs 1,000 per survey.

Babu informed that he submitted the registration fee in the bank account of the company and started the online survey.

“Many people were registered with this site. But on August 15 the website and contact number of the company became inactive, “said Babu, who has lodged a case against the owner of the company Deepak Rajput and Narendra Pal under IT Act.
