Akshay, who visited Dainik Jagran’s Noida office on Thursday morning to promote his upcoming movie, said that ‘Entertainment’ is the most comic film ever he has done in his career.

The movie depicts the human-animal relationship from a different perspective and Akshay was in all praise for the dog, which played the role of ‘Entertainment’ in the movie.

“It’s the most comic film I have ever done in my life and the movie belongs to a quite different genre – the relations between dog and human,” said Akshay.

He also rued over the fact that Hindi film industry does not focus much on the themes dealing with the relationship between human being and animals.

“I don’t know why but Bollywood does not focus much on coming up with cinemas dealing with the relationship between human beings and animals,” said Akshay.

 An animal lover himself, Akshay, who has three dogs, also said that shooting a scene with animals is not an easy task.

On being asked about a certain segment of ‘Entertainment’, where he is seen walking with the dog on ramp, Akshay said that he proposed the idea to add to the entertainment factor of the movie.

Akshay also had a word of praise for the movie’s young directors Sajid-Farhad and said that working with new bunch of people also opens up the mind and lets one explore several new avenues.



Akshay, who make a mark in Bollywood predominantly by appearing in action-flicks is well noted for his gradual transition from action to comic roles, also said that being a Delhiite helped him to improve his comic timing.

“I was actually bored watching my own movies and then thought of trying something new. Priyadarshan encouraged me to take up comic roles and that’s how I happened to do ‘Hera Pheri’,” said Akshay.

Tammanah, who is playing the female lead in Entertainment also accompanied Akshay to Dainik Jagran office. Talking about her role in the movie, Tammanah said that she playing the role of a TV actress.

On her experience of working with a superstar like Akshay, she said, “I get well along with Akshay. I was at ease while working with him.”

Last seen in ‘Himmatwala’ with Ajay Devgan, Tamannah said that said that she had a nice experience of working both A-listers of Hindi film industry.

“Akshay and Ajay have a different style of working. Both are wonderful actors,” she said.

She however did not name who is her favourite in the industry. “It’s nothing like someone being my favourite and all.”

Akshay, however, did not come out with any clear answer on the question related to the fabled 100-crore club. “I have no idea about this. If you people (referring to press) write great about my movie, it might join the club,” he said.

He also did not speak much on the recently unveiled poster of Aamir Khan’s upcoming movie ‘PK’, where he is seen standing nude with just a radio in his hands covering his modesty.



“Yes, I saw the poster. Everyone got own choices and different people have different style of working,” said Akshay.

Akshay also had some lighter moments with Dainik Jagran journalists and on being asked what he would have done had he been not an actor, he said, “Struggling actor”, with his trademark quirky smile.

‘Entertainment’, which releases on 8th August also stars Mithun Chakraborty, Johnny Lever, Krishna Abhishek, Prakash Raj, Sonu Sood, Vrajesh Hirjee, Hiten Tejwani and Riteish Deshmukh in a cameo role.
