John Abraham began his modelling career with Punjabi singer Jazzy B's music video titled ‘Surma’. John was working as media planner before making it big as a model. He won the Gladrags Manhunt in 1999 and went on to become the first runner up at the Manhunt International in Philippines.

John made his debut in Bollywood with steamy thriller Jism opposite Bipasha Basu, which was a hit. John got critical appreciation for his performance.

There was no looking back for John when he was signed to play an antagonist character in Dhoom (2004).

In his decade long film career, John has given hits like Garam Masala, Housefull, Race 2, Desi Boyz and many more. For his latest movie Madras Cafe, which also is a second movie for him as a producer, John garnered much critical acclaim.

John has always been lucky when it comes to women. But as far as romance and linkups are concerned, he has been quite a good boy.  John fell in love with his co-star Bipasha Basu during the filming of 'Jism'. After an eight-year long relationship, the duo officially split up in 2011.

to media buzz before falling in love with Bipasha, John dated starlet Riya Sen. But Riya, the daughter of yesteryears actress Moon moon Sen, was keen on concentrating on her film career. Now this hunk is dating NRI financial analyst and investment banker, Priya Runchal, and they are going to be engaged next year.
