New Delhi: The swanky and luxurious metro in national capital has caught the imagination of Bollywood film makers who usually head towards foreign destinations for shooting.

The Delhi Metro train has become a hallmark for Delhi which earlier used to pull film directors and producers for its historical grandiose.
Remember Amitabh Bachchan in Pa travelling in a metro train, Sonam Kapoor using metro in Delhi-6 and many more flicks like Bewafa, Black and White, Cheeni Kum and Dev-D promoting metro.

According to Delhi Metro Rail Corporation (DMRC) officials, shooting in Delhi metro is now in vogue, as big and small filmmakers, directors and advertisement companies make beeline for booking metro trains for accomplishing their task.
Seeing the growing demand of metro to be featured in movies and ad films, the DMRC has also decided to swell its coffer and decided to change its pack of rules.

The DMRC is planning to raise the security deposit from Rs 5 lakh to Rs 20 lakh to allow only the selected film makers to shoot at the metro. Also, the shooting would be allowed only after 10 pm in metro trains heading for the depot.
Delhi Metro Spokesman Anuj Dayal said, “We cannot compromise with the convenience of passengers to earn profits. So some changes might be possible in the rules of giving permission for shooting.”
