Dehradun: Giving all the reasons to celebrate Diwali in high spirit, the Uttarakhand Cabinet has decided to give bonus to state government employees and six percent increment in dearness allowances (DA) to employees of public enterprises and Corporations.

Before this, the government has sanctioned additional DA of 6 percent to state government employees. BC Khanduri, State Chief Minister has also given green signal to the idea. Following which, the state government employees would get a bonus of Rs 3,500 before Diwali.

The bonus would be paid to all government employees getting grade pay of Rs 4,800. Before this, the bonus was only allowed to those getting a grade pay of Rs 4,000.  The process in this context has been started at government level.

Employees of Corporations and public enterprises who were getting 45 percent DA, after the sanction of another 6 percent will now get a 51 percent DA.
