Akshay grew up in Delhi's Chandni Chowk area, and it was in Bangkok that he worked as a chef and learnt martial arts. The actor had even once become emotional while shooting for the movie, said a source close to the project's unit.

"We were shooting for a scene in Chandni Chowk and Akshay’s old house was hardly some 200 meters away. That was the place where he grew up. He wanted to go there, but it was impossible for him to reach that area in day light as he would get mobbed by the crowd. So next morning, at around 4 am, Akshay drove his car to his old house and stood there for 30 minutes," said the source.

Directed by Anthony D'Souza, the film also stars Mithun Chakraborty, Shiv Pandit, Aditi Rao Hydari, Danny Denzongpa, Ronit Roy and Johnny Lever.

Co-produced by Viacom 18 Motion Pictures, Cape of Good Films and Ashwin Varde Productions, "Boss" will release in October.
