With both the much awaited movies being released on the same week 'Fast and Furious 7' has become the biggest opening of 2015 by raking-in USD 240.4 million at the weekend international box office and overall cashed -in USD 384 million. While Yash Raj Films 'Detective Byomkesh Bakshy!' has raked in just Rs 5.36 crores till the third day of its release on Sunday.

Sushant Singh Rajput starrer movie had a below average opening with just Rs  4.2 crore. The film was released in around 1500 screens all across India and still managed to gross just Rs 14.06 crore in two days.

Box office collections clearly suggests that Hollywood action franchise Fast and Furious 7, has become one of the biggest reasons behind Dibakar Banarjee's 'Detective Byomkesh Bakshy!' dull ran at the multiplex.

The Fast and Furious' franchise is directed by James Wan and produced by Neal Moritz and Vin Diese. It is a pure action thriller film. Meanwhile 'Detective Byomkesh Bakshy!' is based on Saradindu Bandyopadhyay's well known and successful fictional detective Byomkesh Bakshy, 'Detective Byomkesh Bakshy!' is a contemporary interpretation of Kolkata during the 1940s.
