Sawjian Sector of LoC is under heavy snowfall for the past few days due to the high altitude location of Poonch district. The BSF personnel deployed in this sector are always kept on high alert.

Rain and fresh snowfall in the state have disrupted electricity supply, road and air links between the valley and rest of the country.

Also, men and machinery have been put in place to start snow clearance as roads turned slippery.

However, the Jammu-Srinagar highway was opened on Tuesday for one-way traffic after remaining closed for two days due to landslides and snowfall along the road.

Season's heaviest snowfall during first three days of the week had uprooted electric poles and triggered faults in the power supply across the valley.

The weather office said Jammu and Kashmir is expected to have good weather in the next 15 days.
