This scheme is valid only for the customers registered till March 31, 2011. BSNL is also offering many free-bees to all new broadband customers till March 31.

Further, the telecom operator will offer free installation worth Rs 250 to all pre-paid and post-paid customers, free usage for first 15 days, staggered security deposit payment in three installments to all post-paid broadband customers.

Earlier this week, BSNL had reduced post-paid broadband tariff by up to 75 per cent, a move that may force private players to follow the suit.

BSNL offers tariff in two categories- home users and general users. Under both the categories, tariffs are available in limited and unlimited downloads.

To give a push to its broadband business, BSNL has reformulated its existing post-paid broadband tariff structure.

With the implementation of new tariffs, the entry threshold would come down from Rs 2,150 to Rs 850 only translating into a reduction of over 60 per cent.
