"Just for his lure of becoming the Prime Minister, Yadav with the help of VHP, wanted riots in the state to fulfill his political ambitions," Leader of Opposition in Vidhan Sabha and BSP leader Swami Prasad Maurya said.

“While Yadav is out to portray himself as the savior of Muslims, VHP wants to prove that it works for the cause of Hindus,” he said.

Alleging that Yadav wanted to instigate riots before the Lok Sabha elections and the VHP programme was its rehearsal, Maurya said that the 'parikrama' was an outcome of cheap politics of these parties.
