BSP supremo Mayawati raised the issue of Badaun gang-rape and murder case of two girls and also the killing of BJP leader Vijay Pandit in Dadri.

She also demanded the Centre’s intervention and imposition of President’s rule in the state.

"The law and order situation is very bad. There is need for the central government to intervene and immediately impose President's rule in the state and dismiss the state government," the BSP supremo said.

Despite promising a CBI probe into the Badaun gang-rape and murder case, the Chief Minister is yet to recommend it, Mayawati alleged.

After this, BSP members rushed to the Well and started raising slogans against the Uttar Pradesh government and demanded its immediate dismissal.

Three Samajwadi Party MPs too entered the Well and raised counter slogans.

Despite repeated requests by Rajya Sabha chairman Mohammad Hamid Ansari for order in the House, BSP and Samajwadi Party members did not relent, leading to a ten-minute adjournment.

Mayawati again raised the demand when the House reassembled but with no ruling from the chair, she led her party members out of the House.
