New Delhi: The son of BSP MLA from Sardhana, Meerut, allegedly assaulted 24-year-old-old Russian woman in Mehrauli in south Delhi and decamped with her passport, mobile phone and credit cards.

According to the complainant, thirty-two-year-old Vivek Singh, son of BSP MLA Chandraveer Singh was drunk when he barged into her house.

Police informed that the victim, who hails from Moscow, was his girlfriend and currently she is working with an interior designing company in Gurgaon. The initial reports stated that she had met Vivek in an architect company around a-year-ago and became friends. However, they fell apart over some issue.

According to victim’s statement, she had returned to Delhi in the wee hours from Moscow. Vivek had come to receive her at the airport. However, she hired a separate taxi and left for her house. Vivek followed her up to her home and forcibly entered her home and assaulted her.

Earlier in 2009, Vivek was arrested for opening fire at a bar in Kalkaji in south Delhi. His revolver was then seized and license was duly cancelled.
