Kolkata: After registering a remarkable win in Uttar Pradesh, Bahujan Samajwadi Party supremo Mayawati is ready to take on Trinamool Congress chief Mamata Banerjee in West Bengal.

The BSP has decided to contest for all 294 seats in the state. For boosting the party workers’ moral, she will pay a visit to Kolkata next month and address a rally in Dharmtalla. In the meantime list of candidates will be prepared on March 28.

According to the state BSP coordinator Dr Dinesh Chandra Gupta, the party has called a meeting at its headquarters in Sodhpur here. He added that BSP’s nation general secretary, state in-charge Mahesh Arya and the party’s state chief, Manoj Haldar, along with other senior leaders will participate in the meet.

The BSP will declare the names for all 294 seats in the meeting, and also chalk out the strategy for the poll campaign.
