"It is a dangerous situation where communal forces supported by corporates are now leading the country. What is happening in UP? Banking on a communal polarisation scripted there, BJP got the maximum number of seats in UP. The person who had been instrumental in doing the religious polarisation is now the president of BJP," Buddhadeb Bhattacharjee said without naming Amit Shah.

Stating that BJP's road to power was based on communal politics such as Godhra riots, Advani's Rathayatra and Babri Mosque demolition, he said that a communal fascism in the guise of corporates have set in the country.

Buddhadeb Bhattacharjee lashed out at the Trinamool Congress-led state government over the worsening of law and order here.

"During our regime crimes did happen but not at this scale. The goons now think that it is their government so they are running the show. The state has moved backwards at least by a decade in terms of investment. We have to fight this anarchic government," he said.
