''The Opposition can't pre-empt discussion on the Land Bill in  Lok Sabha," Jaitley said in Rajya Sabha while listing Ordinances passed by the previous UPA government.

Battle lines are drawn in Parliament as the Narendra Modi led-NDA government moves to introduce in the Lok Sabha, the Land Acquisition Amendment Bill 2015, which seeks approval for being converted in to the law.

Congress leader Anand Sharma slammed the government by saying, "You expect Parliament to rubber stamp your Ordinances, you don't send anything to standing committee."
The Congress had earlier signaled its intent by giving notice for the suspension of Question Hour in the Rajya Sabha to discuss the land ordinance, which it calls "anti-farmer".

Bills to be tabled in the Lower House of the Parliament during Budget Session include Mines and Minerals (Development and Regulation) Amendment Bill, 2015, The Right to Fair Compensation and Transparency in Land Acquisition, Rehabilitation and Resettlement (Amendment) Bill, 2015.

Discussion on Motion of Thanks on the President's Address will also take place.
